Russell Uman was in charge of keeping the servers for the website running. He joined the NaNoWriMo Team in 2003 and continued maintaining the servers and website until the end of the 2008 NaNo season[1]
The bookstore in the 2008 "City of Novelists" poster is named after Russ.
