Emily Bristow was the Program Facilitator (previously ML Captain of Capital Ideas) at NaNoWriMo. Before that she was a United States::Texas::Austin ML from 2004 to 2010. She lives in Austin, Texas. In the past Emily has worked in print journalism, TV production and technical writing. She has been doing NaNoWriMo since 2002 and been on staff from 2008 to 2013. Aside from writing, her interests include making art, high desert gardening, and studying Buddhism.
In 2014 Emily did not participate in NaNoWriMo, instead working on other projects. She did continue to assist Heather Dudley with the forums.
