Rebecca Stern

Rebecca Stern was National Novel Writing Month's Development Manager.

Before joining the NaNoWriMo staff as Director of Programs in April 2015, Rebecca taught elementary and middle school for a decade and worked on a tablet-based curriculum at Pearson Education. She has also taught NaNoWriMo in the classroom, participated herself, and served on the Associate Board.

Rebecca went on a leave of absense during the 2016 NaNoWriMo season, returning in early 2017 as the Development Manager. Tim Kim became the new Director of Programs at that time.

Rebecca left the NaNoWriMo staff sometime in 2019.

When not working on NaNoWriMo, Rebecca can be found poking around in bookstores, trying to break her addiction to Candy Crush, drinking shots of espresso, and hanging out with Laika, her cosmonaut dog.
