Shelby Gibbs

Shelby Gibbs is the current Director of Operations (formerly Operations Manager, formerly Office Captain) at National Novel Writing Month. She interned at NaNo HQ during Script Frenzy and Camp NaNoWriMo 2012. Later that year she joined the NaNoWriMo team in Fall 2012 as Customer Service Captain before moving to the Office Captain position in early 2013. Some of Shelby's responsibilities at NaNoWriMo include managing the NaNoWriMo Store, tending to financials, helping plan the Night of Writing Dangerously, and managing the intern program.

Shelby holds a B.A. in English Literature from Mills College and wrote her senior thesis on Virginia Woolf. According to her user bio, she enjoys grocery shopping (especially the free samples) and exploring her native Bay Area.
