There is a singe region for the whole state of Maine. The NaNoWriMo presence in Maine is spread out throughout the state in the larger cities. Until 2018, a single '''USA :: Maine''' region consisting of the entire state.
 
In 2018 the Maine region split into seven regions. The Portland region was added in 2019.
