Reaching 50K
Reaching 50K (formerly known as Reaching 50,000! before September 2019) is a forum where Wrimos share their tips and tricks for reaching their word count goal. Padding techniques are often discussed here. It is the original source for dares and is the traditional home of NaNo for the New and the Insane. Shoutouts were also posted here until 2008 when a separate forum for them was created.
Reaching 50,000 has existed as a forum since the forums came to be in 2002. It is the only one of the original forums not to undergo a significant name change.
Reaching 50K previously lived in the NaNo Tips and Strategies container category on the NaNoWriMo forums. As of September 2019 it is its own top-level forum with six subforums: Overachievers: Beyond 50k, NaNoWriMo Ate My Soul, Prepping & Outlining, Shoutouts, This is Going Better Than I Hoped, and Writing Challenges.
Forum Description
