USA :: Rhode Island :: Providence was a NaNo region for the greater Providence area. It was created in 2014 after splitting from the USA :: Rhode Island region consisting of the entire state.
In 2018, the region re-merged with the USA :: Rhode Island :: Elsewhere region into a single Rhode Island region.
