Word crawl/Draw 5 Challenge

Draw five cards from a deck. If you don't have a deck of cards, don't worry; there are websites [1] that can do it for you. Take the number on the card and multiply by the numbers below depending on the suit. (Jacks count as 11, Queens count as 12, Kings count as 13. For aces, roll a die. Heads, the ace counts as 1, tails it counts as 14.) Then write that many words.

Spades: x 10

Hearts: x 20

Clubs: x 30

Diamonds: x 40

For example, if you drew a 10 of hearts (10 x 20 = 200), 6 of diamonds (6 x 40 = 240), 3 of spades (3 x 10 = 30), king of spades (13 x 10 = 130), and 2 of clubs (2 x 30 = 60), you would write 660 words.

Joker mode: Add the jokers to the deck.

If a red joker is chosen, roll a die, and multiply the number of words you have to write. Ex. 4 of hearts (80), 9 of spades (90), 4 of diamonds (160), and a 6 of diamonds (240), plus a red joker are chosen. The die says 4, and 470 x 4 = 1880 words.

If a black joker is chosen, roll a die, and divide the number of words you have to write. Ex. 4 of hearts (80), 9 of spades (90), 4 of diamonds (160), and a 6 of diamonds (240), plus a red joker are chosen. The die says 4, and 470/4 = 117.5, or 118 words.
