Created page. I'll add more as I think of them.
Welcome to Wikiwrimo's FAQ page! Right now this page should probably be called "Rarely Asked Questions", but FAQ makes a better acronym. On to the questions.
== About Wikiwrimo ==
=== What is Wikiwrimo, anyway? ===
Wikiwrimo is the unofficial NaNoWriMo wiki by Wrimos, for Wrimos. The ultimate goal is to be not only a glossary but a resource for newbies and oldbies alike.
=== Is this wiki run by NaNoWriMo staff? ===
Nope. Your admin is [[User:Sushimustwrite|a long-time Wrimo]] with a love of all things NaNoWriMo, a bit of technical skill, and some extra time on her hands. The contributors likely fit categories two and four, with categories one and three varying across the board.
== Getting started ==
=== Why can't I register? I want to contribute! ===
Editing is limited to NaNoWriMo participants at this time in order to minimize the amount of spam. Click "Login" at the upper right corner. You'll be greeted by the login screen, but there will also be a link where you can request an account. Fill out the information, and you should be approved to edit within a day. (Note: This isn't up as of 8 June.)
=== I participated in NaNoWriMo before, but I don't anymore. Can I still request an account and contribute? ===
As long as you can provide enough evidence that you've done NaNoWriMo before, sure.
=== My request for an account was rejected! What happened? ===
The main reason is that you didn't provide sufficient evidence of being a Wrimo. The best way to do this is providing a link to your NaNoWriMo profile. If you happen to be a new Wrimo, links to a few posts you've made are also helpful just to show you're not a spambot.
=== I can't remember my password. Help! ===
Try to login, and then click "Forgot your password?" enter the information requested, and you'll receive a temporary password to use. This password was sent to you in plain text, so make sure to change your password to something more secure after logging in.
== Editing ==
=== How do I edit? ===
Once you're logged in, find an article you want to edit, click "Edit", and start editing. Make sure to preview before saving your changes just in case something goes wrong. For more information, take a look at the [[Help:Contents|help area]], which has just about everything you need to know about editing. If it's not there, ask. Someone will know, and if they don't, someone will look it up.
=== This article doesn't exist yet, but should. What do I do? ===
Be bold and create it yourself. That's why the wiki exists.
=== Someone edited my contribution. Is that allowed? ===
Yes. In fact, editing each other's contributions is an essential part of the wiki nature. Constant editing and collaboration lead to better articles, which lead to more information for everyone.
