USA :: California :: Los Angeles consists of the city of Los Angeles and the greater Los Angeles area. This region is one of the largest NaNoWriMo regions.
In 2011 Los Angeles won the League 6 Donation Derby in total donations with $9245 donated. Los Angeles also donated more than any other region, ending Seattle's seven-year run at the top for total donations.
A group of Los Angeles Wrimos started the Great Train Escape in 2011, a 12-hour write-in to San Francisco for the Night of Writing Dangerously, a tradition that continues to this day.
The region's mascot is the lemur.
As of April 2020, the region's description reads "From sea to shining skyscrapers, NaNoLA supports the transformational power of creativity.
