Quantity over quality

The notion that the number of words/pages is more important than the quality of the work. This is the mantra of Wrimos. To accomplish 50,000 words over the course of one month, many WriMos see it as important to not worry about the quality of the work they are writing, and instead worry about the number of words they're writing. This phrase is often used to encourage newbies and veterans around Week Two, as well as when explaining NaNoWriMo and Script Frenzy and over the course of the month.
The well-known NaNo quote "Editing is for December" (or May in the case of Script Frenzy) espouses this idea.
