Project for Awesome (or P4A) is an annual online event created by Vlogbrothers John and Hank Green. People post videos to Youtube promoting the charity of their choice over a 24-hour span in December 2012. The charities promoted by the top videos get part of the money raised during the event, which includes money donated directly throughout the year, funds from purchased items, and money from donors raised by Youtube comments on the Project for Awesome videos.

NaNoWriMo takes to Twitter and Facebook during Project for Awesome, promoting Wrimos' videos and encouraging them to vote for and share these videos.

In 2012 geek band and Wrimos Debs and Errol created a video for The Office of Letters and Light, which became one of the winning Project for Awesome videos [1].

In 2013 Wrimo and popular Youtuber Kristina Horner created a video for NaNoWriMo, which also became one of the winning Project for Awesome videos [2].

In 2014 Kristina Horner and Katytastic created videos for NaNoWriMo[3], which once again won a grant from Project for Awesome [4].

In 2015, over 20 videos were made for NaNoWriMo, and another grant was successfully obtained.
