Articles to write and cleanup things to do. This used to be in Sushi's namespace, so this list may look familiar. Go ahead and write one yourself! Also, if you see a red link somewhere in the wiki, be bold and create the article! Also, if you come up with an idea and don't have the means to create it yourself, whether for a specific article or a broad idea, add it to this list.

Post-2011 relaunch cleanup

A few small changes are particular to the site relaunch that happens every year. A lot of these changes are wiki-wide, and fixing a few of these on just a few pages would be such a huge help. You have no idea.

• Checking and updating moderators on the pages for individual forums
• Checking and updating URLs that link to the NaNo site, especially after the switch to Ruby on Rails in 2011. Replacing those that link to forums, pages, or popular threads. Thankfully user profiles appear to redirect, but checking those is also worth doing if they're linked.
• Checking Region subpages and adding the many new regions to the appropriate subpage as pages to be written (or write them yourself if you'd like). Dear Baty are there a lot of new regions.
• Changing tenses as appropriate when you see them. Things that refer to 2010 may need to be referred to in the past tense, for example.
• There are definitely other things, but Sushi needs to shower and sleep eventually. Also reply to all these emails.
• Basically, look for out of date stuff and make it, well, not out of date!

Articles to write

• Region--start an article on your region! Please! No one can write about every single region and their histories.
• Pretty much anything from Special:WantedPages except the template-y stuff that I can't get rid of. Argh.
• Finish the Category:Stubs
• Finish NaNoWriMo, Script Frenzy, and The Office of Letters and Light
• The past and present NaNo/OLL staff who don't already have articles. Check out Template:Ollstaff.
• Having articles on basic writing terms and how they relate to NaNo/Script Frenzy would be cool, too. See Basic writing terms for ideas that may not have their own pages. This was mentioned by a few people when crowdsourcing for ideas.
• List of writing software--What Wrimos use to write their novels.
• List of regional Facebook pages--add your region's page
• List of regional Twitter accounts--add your region's account
• List of regional websites--add your region's site
• A list of published novels that are around 50k in length, just so Wrimos know the length of what they'll be writing. What to call this?
  • How about the obvious List of 50,000 Word Novels?
    • I was only shying away from this because the novel lengths will vary from 50k by as much as 5k words, but sure, this works. To keep with the list consistency I'm adding "List of" to the name so someone can click and create.
• Articles on some of the awesome Reference Desk/Character and Plot Realism threads and the stories behind them. What should the titles be? The subject of the thread? The thing everyone knew them as?
• National Novel Writing Year
• Procrastination Station (that part of the NaNo site where cool threads and links of interest get posted)
• Writer Maps (first called Wrimo Maps, but renamed to Writer Maps during Script Frenzy)
• The Coffee House (that's the forum thread, not a place write-ins may take place)
• N.E.R.D. Co. (a popular thread in NaNo 2003)
• Last Post and Thread Killer (Two similar threads with different histories in the Games, Diversions, and Other Exciting Forms of Procrastination forum, which also needs its own article thanks to its history and popularity. There should also be threads about some of the other popular threads, like Word Association and Bump thread)
• Fourth wall (This could use its own page)
• The Book of Tim
• Muse (of the writerly kind, not the band. And this could use its own page)
• Cliff Brooks (the Wrimo who dies in Wrimos' novels.)
• Lazette Gifford (Zette, longtime Wrimo and one of the first people I associate with huge word counts)
• Kateness, she of a million words.
• And of course, other notable Wrimos, including the others of a million words. Also, what makes a Wrimo notable?
• Suck Club (a NaNo thread that was popular in the early days. The Suck haikus stuck around)
• Drupal (What the NaNo and SF websites ran on, 2007- 2011. We don't have to get technical.)
• Donation Derby
• I Wrote a Novel, Now What?
• Prompt of the writing variety (This could use its own page)
• Xoops (what the site ran on from 2005(?)-2006)
