Montana is a state in the northwestern United States. Even though it is the fourth largest US state by area, it is sparsely populated, and its regions cover very large areas.

Montana consisted of a single region until 2015. That year the region split into five regions: Billings, Butte & Bozeman, Elsewhere, Great Falls & Helena, and Kalispell & Missoula.

In 2016, the Butte and Bozeman region split into two regions, one for each of the respective cities.
