The USA::Mississippi::Elsewhere NaNoWriMo region is the largest of the two Mississippi region, encompassing the capital city of Jackson and its surrounding cities, as well as several college towns (Hattiesburg, Starkville, and Oxford). Hattiesburg and the greater Jackson area each have an active group of participants.
