USA :: Michigan :: Saginaw Bay is a NaNoWriMo region for the Saginaw Bay area. Their About Us reads "Saginaw Bay includes the counties of Bay and Saginaw as well as any nearby counties that would like to participate. Everyone is welcome! Dana founded the region as the Tri-Cities in 2007 before splitting it into Midland and SB. Welcome, Wombats and Wrimos!"

Their regional mascot is the wombat.
