A NaNoism (also written Nanoism) is a typo in a NaNoWriMo novel that is funny or awkward. The term appears to have begun in 2004, as the 2005 thread is referred to as "NaNoisms v2". Before NaNoWriMo 2006 Miri Mirror compiled a book of NaNoisms written by fellow Wrimos entitled I Hate Myself and Want to Die. It is available as a free ebook on Lulu.
This thread has lived in the I Hate Myself and Want to Die forum, later renamed NaNoWriMo Ate My Soul. It is one of the stickied threads at the top of the NaNoWriMo Ate My Soul forum.
Alternately, a NaNoism can refer to a term coined by the NaNoWriMo community that only fellow Wrimos will understand.
