NaNoWriMo interns work with the NaNoWriMo staff to create pep talks and blog posts, as well as generally administrate the challenge. The internship is unpaid, but still a very valuable experience.
The NaNo internship happens on-site in Berkeley, California, and interns are expected to be on site for the duration of the internship. Most interns are college students or recent graduates, though high school students have occasionally interned during the summer cycle.
NaNo interns typically introduce themselves on the OLL blog and write some of the posts.
Past NaNo interns who have become staff members, including Sarah Mackey, Tim Kim, Shelby Gibbs, Paige Knorr, and Sonja Sueker.
