Critiques, Feedback, and Novel Swaps is a NaNoWriMo forum where Wrimos can swap novels and receive feedback. It, along with all the forums in the December and Beyond category, was created in 2007.

As of 2014, the Critiques forum lives in the Resources and Writing Support section of the NaNoWriMo forums. Wrimos may use the forum all year long to swap novels and seek feedback for NaNo and non-NaNo projects alike. They were moved back to December and Beyond in 2015 when the category was renamed I Wrote a Novel, Now What? and became year-round.

Interestingly, this forum went without a forum description until 2011.

Forum Description

"Looking for feedback on your manuscript? Have a stubborn paragraph that just won't punctuate properly? How about a query letter that needs polishing before you send it off? You'll find tons of help here, just be sure to read the guidelines before posting!" (2011-2014)

Popular Topics and Threads

The sticky post explains how the forum works and what to expect from posting. Threads for each genre are made by the moderators for Wrimos to post excerpts and solicit feedback. Individual threads for specific projects are discouraged. There are also usually cross-genre feedback threads, such as "Critique the Excerpt Above You", a general novel swap, and a critique thread for query letters.
