A badge may refer to multiple things in the NaNoWriMo community. These include:
- Participant icon, the badges or icons that Wrimos use to show they're doing a NaNoWriMo event
- Winner Icons, the badges or icons that Wrimos use to show they won a NaNoWriMo event
- Forum badges, the badges one can earn on the NaNoWriMo forums starting in 2019
- Personal achievement badges, a set of writing badges that are manually self-awarded for each project
- Writing badges, a set of writing badges that are automatically awarded for each project
- Support stickers, a set of badges that appeared on your NaNoWriMo profile
- Web Badge, the general term for badges or icons designed for online display
- NaNoWriMo Merit Badges, a set of physical badges once sold in the NaNoWriMo Store
On the NaNoWriMo website
Badges are small icons displayed on a NaNoWriMo Wrimo's profile, as well as the NaNoWriMo dashboard. There are three types of badges: participation badges, writing badges, and personal achievement badges.
These badges appear on the Wrimo's project. They previously appeared on the NaNoWriMo dashboard from their year of introduction through September 2019, when a new NaNoWriMo website design launched.
Participation Badges
Participation badges appeared on the NaNoWriMo dashboard in 2013. They were updated in 2014. Participation badges were not reintroduced in the NaNoWriMo website redesign of 2019.
