Back Up Your Novel Day is a National Novel Writing Month observance that recognizes the importance of regular novel backups. It has been observed as far back as 2008.
There is often a thread in the Shoutouts forum to announce a user's personal celebration of back up your novel day, by either creating a new backup or updating a current one.
