Age Group: Teens is a NaNoWriMo forum where teenage Wrimos can connect with each other. While some teenagers participate in the Young Writers Program thanks to the flexible goal option, other teens participate in the main program with the knowledge that they'll have to write the full 50,000 words in order to win.

The precursor to the Teens forum is the Young Novelists forum, which was founded in 2005.

The Teens forum is one of the most active forums on the NaNo site. It is an All-Ages forum.

Teens attending university or college may also be interested in the NaNo University forum to connect with fellow students.

Forum Description

You're too old for the Young Writers Program, but too young to legally drown your literary sorrows at the nearest bar. Gather here to talk about the special challenges of balancing school and NaNo work, offer tips on getting classroom credit for participating, and discuss the perpetual problem of getting parents to understand your quest for 50K. (2005-2009)
